We’re excited to introduce significant enhancements to our Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC) feature, designed to provide even more granular and dynamic access management within the RecordPoint platform.
This enhancement streamlines the management of user permissions, making it more efficient to adapt to evolving access needs and ensuring robust security and compliance across our expanding platform.
Here’s what’s new:
- Edit existing ABAC profiles: Administrators and Records Managers can now modify ABAC profiles regardless of who initially created them. This ensures timely updates for critical scenarios like FOIA requests, even when the original profile creator is unavailable.
- Support for groups: ABAC profiles can now be assigned to user groups across all supported Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions. This simplifies access management for teams and departments, extending the group-based assignment functionality currently available.
- Enhanced scalability and flexibility: By leveraging ABAC, RecordPoint now offers a more scalable and flexible approach to access controls, accommodating the increasing complexity and user base associated with new modules like eDiscovery, DSAR/FOI tools and AI governance.
With enhanced ABAC, you can precisely control data access based on user attributes, resource types, and contextual factors, ensuring appropriate restrictions and maintaining security and compliance with greater ease.
These enhancements will be available to all customers by April 25th.
