We are excited to announce a suite of enhancements to our signals features to help you do more in the user interface and receive more accurate results.
Updates for all signals users
Individual signals enablement
For all clients that currently have the signals feature, you can now enable and disable out-of-the-box signals at an individual level. This means you can reduce noise by disabling signals that are not relevant to your use case or jurisdiction. Your signals results will be more targeted and relevant to your needs, thereby reducing the time it takes to review.
You can select signals using the check boxes and selecting enable or disable.
- If you select 'Enable', this will turn on the relevant signal/s for all content ingested from enablement onwards (the moment you press the Enable button).
- If you select 'Disable', this signal will not process on content ingested from disablement onwards. This feature will not remove signals from previously processed content.
The table will show you:
- Whether this signal is currently Enabled or Disabled (Enabled)
- Which user last modified the signal by enabling or disabling it (Last Modified By)
Process signals
The 'Process' button allows you to run signals against all of your previously ingested content from the user interface. This means that if you have never had signals turned on before, you can update all your existing content with signals metadata. Please do note that processing signals is a significant operation and will effect your transaction limit.
The table will show you:
- The date and time that the Process button was previously selected (Last Processed Date)
- Which user initiated the processing (Last Processed By)
- Whether a Process has been run on previous content (Process Status will either be Processed, Process Required or Disabled)
You can only process one batch of signals at a time, that is, once you select 'Process', you will need to wait until this has finished processing before you can run another batch.
Updates upon request
Enhanced image scanning capabilities
Upon request, we can enable our suite of enhanced image scanning features. This suite includes:
- More accurate support for Optical Character Recognition (OCR), including of handwritten text.
- More support for PDF documents that contain both text and images, including both text and image recognition.
Enabling these capabilities increases processing time, so they are best used by clients with a large amount of complex image documents. If you are interested in enabling our enhanced image scanning capabilities, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager.
