The Risk Tier Approvers page allows administrators to define who is authorized to approve AI inventory items based on their assigned risk level. This ensures that higher-risk systems receive the appropriate level of review and sign-off before moving forward.
Purpose
By assigning specific users to approve items by risk tier (e.g., Low, Moderate, High, Critical), organizations can enforce proper oversight and align approval workflows with internal governance policies.
This configuration helps streamline reviews, prevent bottlenecks, and ensure that approvals match the sensitivity of each AI system or risk.
Adding a New Approver
To add a new risk tier approver:
Select User – Choose the individual from the dropdown list.
Select Risk Tier – Choose the risk tier the user is authorized to approve (Low, Moderate, High, or Critical).
Click Add Approver to save.
The user will now appear in the Current Approvers list and be able to approve items of the selected tier.
Managing Approvers
The Current Approvers panel shows all assigned users and the risk tiers they are responsible for. You can remove an approver by clicking the trash icon next to their name.
Notes
A user can be assigned to multiple tiers if needed.
Only users with appropriate permissions can access and configure this page.
This setting applies to AI inventory items and risks where approval workflows are required.
