View reports in RecordPoint (embedded reporting)

Reporting and Analytics lets you view standard reports directly in RecordPoint. In this version, you can open reports, apply filters and export selected reports

What’s new

You can now access standard reports from within the RecordPoint user interface, without needing to navigate to a separate reporting tool. You can also export selected reports in PPTX or PDF format and download them from the Exports tab when processing is complete.

  • Application Administrators who need access to reporting views

  • Records Managers who need reporting visibility for governance and operational insights

Where to find it

In the left navigation, select Reporting.

  • This opens Reporting and Analytics in the same tab.

View a report

  1. In RecordPoint, select Reporting from the left navigation.

  2. In this tab, under Reporting and Analytics, find the report you want to view.

  3. Select the Report you want to view.

 

Export a report

You can export a report from Reporting and Analytics in PPTX or PDF format. After you submit the export request, the file is processed in the background and becomes available from the Exports tab.

 

In RecordPoint, select Reporting from the left navigation. On the Reports tab, select the checkbox for the report you want to export.

  • Reports: Lists the reports available to you.

  • Checkbox: Selects the report to export (you can export one report at a time).

  • Export: Opens the Export reports dialog.

 

In the Export reports dialog, choose the file format:

  • PPTX

  • PDF

Select Export.

  • File format: Lets you choose PPTX or PDF.

  • Export: Starts processing the export.

  • Cancel: Closes the dialog without exporting.

 

 

A confirmation message appears to let you know the export is being processed.

  • Confirmation message: Confirms that the export has been queued for processing.

  • Exports tab: Lets you view exported files when they are ready.

 

Select the Exports tab.

When the export is ready, find it in the list and select the Download icon.

If the export does not complete successfully, review the Error Message column for more information.

  • Export File: Shows the exported file name.

  • Request Date: Shows when the export was requested.

  • Download: Downloads the exported file.

  • Status: Shows whether the export is still processing or completed.

  • Error Message: Shows any export error details.

  • Exported files are stored for 24 hours before they are deleted.
