Flexible Aggregation adds a new Aggregations experience in the Disposal area of RecordPoint.
This new feature allows Records Managers to create groups that better match how content is managed in the source system. A rule can be added at a parent folder, and RecordPoint will create groups for the child folders directly under that location.
For example, a Records Manager can create a rule at a Finance folder and review the generated child folder groups as disposal units.
Records teams can now define an Aggregation Rule for a selected folder location and have RecordPoint generate Aggregation Groups for the folders directly underneath that location.
This helps Records Managers and Disposal Approvers review and manage related records as a meaningful business group, while records continue to retain their original source path and metadata context.
The experience allows users to:
Create an Aggregation Rule for a SharePoint Online folder location
View the Aggregation Groups generated under that rule
Open each group to see its details and items
Review aggregation groups through disposal workflow views such as Unactioned, Approval Pending, Ready For Disposal, and Disposal Failed
See clearer terminology across the experience, including Aggregation Rule, Aggregation Group, and Aggregation Key - Location.
The feature is designed for organizations that need to dispose of records at different folder levels, rather than relying on one fixed aggregation level for every business structure.
