This article explains which versions of FileConnect Enterprise (FCE) are supported and what that means for new and existing deployments.
Current supported version
FCE 3.1 is the only version supported for new installations. All new FileConnect Enterprise deployments must use FCE 3.1, which installs directly onto a supported host operating system. RecordPoint no longer supplies or requires a virtual machine (OVA) for FCE.
To install FCE 3.1, see the FileConnect Enterprise v3.1 Setup guide.
Existing FCE 3.0 (OVA) deployments
If you're running FCE 3.0 using the RecordPoint-supplied virtual machine (OVA):
- Your deployment remains supported and can continue to operate.
- You can upgrade in place to 3.1 at any time - please follow the instruction here
- The 3.0 OVA will not receive further updates after the 3.1 release. To continue receiving product updates and fixes, plan your move to 3.1.
