Datasets Dashboard

  • Updated

The Dataset Inventory page provides a centralized list of all datasets registered in your organization. This page is essential for managing the datasets that are used in training, testing, and operating AI systems across your environment.

Purpose

Maintaining a dataset inventory is a foundational requirement of responsible AI governance. It allows organizations to:

  • Track which datasets are in use and their associated risk levels

  • Evaluate and monitor how data flows into AI models

  • Identify sensitive, high-risk, or unapproved datasets

  • Ensure AI systems are only built on datasets that meet compliance and ethical standards

Tracking datasets supports transparency, data governance alignment, and preparation for audits or external reporting requirements.

Key Features

  • Dataset Table – View essential metadata for each dataset, including:

    • ID

    • Name

    • Risk level

    • Approval status

    • Date created

  • View – Click View to open the full dataset record. This provides access to detailed metadata, risk assessments, linked AI systems, and documentation. See: Viewing a Dataset

  • Add New Dataset – Click + New Dataset to register a new dataset in the system. See: Adding a New Dataset

  • Bulk Upload – Use the Bulk Upload button to add multiple datasets at once using a standardized upload template.

Notes

  • Risk levels and approval statuses are displayed to help governance teams prioritize reviews.

  • All datasets listed here are available to be linked to AI systems as needed.

  • You can only manage or view dataset details if you have appropriate permissions.

  • Dataset inventory is a key input for both risk assessment and compliance documentation
