Dataset Details - Risk Assessments

The Risk Assessments tab displays all assessments that have been initiated for the dataset. These assessments are used to evaluate compliance, data governance, and risks associated with dataset quality, provenance, and privacy.

Purpose

This tab helps track the progress and history of all dataset-level risk evaluations. It ensures that data used in AI systems has undergone the appropriate reviews, which may be required by organizational policy or external regulations.

Key Features

• + Run Assessment
  Launch a new dataset-level assessment. Users will be prompted to select a template. Common assessments include:

  • Privacy Impact Assessment

  • Data Lineage & Provenance Tracking

  • Environmental or Fairness Reviews

• Assessment Cards
  Each card provides a snapshot of an in-progress or completed assessment, including:

  • Title

  • Start date

  • Assessor

  • Version

  • Status (e.g., In Progress)

• View Details
  Opens a read-only version of the assessment. This view includes recorded answers, attached documentation, and audit-relevant metadata.

• Edit Assessment
  Allows the user to resume or update an in-progress assessment.

Notes

• Multiple assessments can be conducted on a single dataset if needed.

• Risk assessment templates are created and maintained under Risk Management.

• Dataset assessments are separate from AI system-level assessments, though they may inform each other.

• Completion of these assessments may be required before the dataset can be approved for use.
