AI System - Details Dashboard

  • Updated

The AI System Details Dashboard in RexCommand provides a unified interface for managing the governance activities associated with an individual AI system. It includes access to documentation, risk processes, training attestations, approvals, and more.

This page also serves as a navigation hub, linking out to detailed pages for each specific area of governance tracked in RexCommand.

Purpose

Use this dashboard to manage the end-to-end lifecycle of a registered AI system, including:

  • Reviewing and updating system metadata

  • Launching assessments and managing risks

  • Attaching datasets and software documentation

  • Tracking approval status and audit readiness

Available Actions

From this page, you can:

  • Edit Solution – Update system metadata including name, purpose, owner, and domain alignment

  • Delete Solution – Remove the AI system entry from RexCommand

  • Run Risk Assessment – Launch structured governance-aligned questionnaires

  • Create Risk – Log a specific risk associated with this system

  • Change Approval Status – Update the status (e.g., Draft, Under Review, Approved)

Recommended Workflow

The following steps reflect the suggested workflow. Each step corresponds to a tab on the dashboard and can be completed in this general order:

  • Details – Begin by entering system-level metadata including name, purpose, owner, and intended use.

  • Risk Assessments – Complete risk assessments aligned to frameworks such as NIST AI RMF to determine risk posture and required controls.

  • SBOM (Software Bill of Materials) – Document the software components, vendors, or external models used within the AI system.

  • TEVV (Test, Evaluation, Verification & Validation) – Upload evaluation and validation artifacts such as model testing results, architecture diagrams, or fairness assessments.

  • System Failure – Record system failure planning documentation, such as bypass mechanisms and fallback

  • Approval – Submit the system for formal review and approval. Track the approval status and approvers he procedures.

  • Datasets – Link datasets used by the AI system. This step may occur earlier in practice, but was positioned later in the demo sequence.

Additional Dashboard Tabs

Each section below links to a dedicated help page with more detail on how to use that part of the dashboard:

  • Feedback – Collect system-level input, comments, or informal review insights.

  • Approval – View and manage the formal approval workflow for this AI system.

  • Logs – Review a timestamped record of actions, updates, and changes made to this system.

  • Comments – Collaborate internally by leaving system-specific notes and questions.
